The East region of the Nairobi church ended the year 2007 with a bang by holding a strategic planning event for 2008. Among the important resolutions adopted in the document was the need for the church to get help in understanding the pivotal role of leadership at Bible Talk level. The roles, functions and expectations were comprehensively articulated giving way to the need to revitalize the status and honour due to this level of leadership.

“Bible Talk leaders should no longer be fruits of roadside decisions,” a key participant observed, communicating the unanimously agreed need to pray through such appointments.

During the worship service on the 3rd of February, the wheels off this document rolled forward in style as an array of Bible Talk Leaders made colourful assembly in front of the church for official appointment (pictured). Over one hundred Bible Talk Leaders went through this grand ceremony and perhaps the culmination of the whole event was when all humbled down on their knees for the deacon’s prayer.

The evident beam of delight within the group published the ideal promise for which the church was headed. With such revised and visionary leadership, the Nairobi Christian Church is focused on nothing less than amazing growth, for where the leaders have vision, the people flourish.
