TRANSITION IN TANZANIA

A heroic and faithful chapter in the history of the Arusha Christian Church has come to a conclusion, and a bright new one has begun, as the church will for the first time be led by
Wycliffe Mbimwah and Josephine Njeru Joakim and Eva Palangyo

nationals, baptized in the congregation. Wycliffe Mbimwa and Josephine Njeru have done an outstanding job in leading the Arusha church and are now returning to Nairobi. Standing strong and stepping up to take over the mantle of leadership are Joakim and Eva Palangyo. They were both baptized in 1996, and on the 25th of February 2001, they were married. Joakim and Eva have a young son, Dalton.

The disciples in Arusha are thankful for all the leaders from Nairobi who have helped and discipled them since the planting of the church there in July 1996, and will certainly miss Wycliffe and Josephine's love and guidance. But they are also rallying behind Joakim and Eva, excited by the prospect of the great things they are confident that God will continue to do amongst them.

It is a time of transition and a time of vision as we dream of continuing to spread the seed of the Word that has been planted in our hearts, rising up as we grown in our faith, and advancing God's kingdom in East Africa, just as Joakim and Eva are doing.
