AGNES MIRITI - North Region, Nairobi " ' It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life. He who overcomes will inherit all this ...' " Revelation 21:6,7 ![]()
Born on the 28th of February, 1974 and baptized on the 10th of September, 2000, Agnes Miriti from Nairobi's North Region passed on to be with the Lord on the 20th of March, 2003 while admitted at Kenyatta national Hospital in Nairobi. She was the loving wife to Frank Miriti, who is also a disciple in the North. Agnes will be fondly remembered always. When studying the Bible to become a Christian, says Janet Owaso, who helped study with her, "Agnes was open and enthusiastic about becoming a Christian. She had a great learner's heart and was aggressive about getting right with God once she saw the truth." In January 2002, God blessed Frank and Agnes with a baby daughter, but unfortunately, the child died within days. It was an incredibly trying time for the two of them, and from that point Agnes' health deteriorated progressively. Yet in all this, Rhoda Anyiko recalls, Agnes felt sadness but not bitterness. "Agnes had a great fighting spirit,' says Mary Bolton from the North Region. "Regardless of what she went through she never gave up." In hospital, Agnes would pray with a lady on an adjacent bed. The lady attests that Agnes' last words were an exhortation to her to keep on praying. While we all miss Agnes so dearly, we are confident that she is reunited with her daughter as she urges on the rest of us to hold strong to our faith in all circumstances. Agnes, soon and very soon we are coming to see the King and to renew our fellowship with you. Go to the "Loving Memory" Page |
