PATRICK BUNDI - Nairobi, Kenya
29 December 1970 - 14 March 2005

Patrick BundiAs is guaranteed for every true disciple of Jesus, our brother Patrick Bundi went to be with the Lord last month, leaving cherished moments for those who were close to him.

Patrick was a member of the Nairobi church's Metro region at the time of his passing. On the 25th of November 1992, he was baptized into Christ while a student at the University of Nairobi.

Patrick, who was from the Kangemi sector of the Metro region, succumbed to a battle against cancer of the intestines after having been in and out of hospital for a while. Our brother passed away on the morning of March 14, 2005.

Patrick leaves behind a widow, Ndembo, a faithful disciple in the Nairobi church, and three children.

Angela Maitima from the Westlands house church remembers a hard-working, committed family man. "Patrick loved his family very much and worked hard to provide for them," said Anjela of the outstanding quality that she remembers of Patrick.

Paul Kuru, Patrick's brother-in-law, who is in the Easleigh sector, said Patrick was like a blood brother to him. "He was always full of wise counsel and was a greater motivator to the entire family," shares Paul. Samson Owiti also from Eastleigh remembers the times he worked for Patrick. "He was so forgiving and encouraging to all of us," he said. He said Patrick was never a man to keep grudges, was always quick to resolve issues, and was patient with the weak. "He was so devoted and loved his job always having to juggle between it and his studies at the university."

Rayola Osanya-Nyynéque, who together with William Auki studied the bible with Patrick on campus shares, "I remember how eager Patrick was to talk about his life and get help, when we studied the bible. Later on, he showed great courage and humility, and love for God and the church, in coming back to the faith after having lost direction for a time." Thanks, Patrick, for your life and faith. See you on the other side.
