AMAZING FAITH

Hebrews 11:32-35
When we believe, we will do amazing things. Jesus, on one occasion, told his disciples that faith can move mountains. We can do things beyond our understanding. For example, shutting the mouths of lions, conquering kingdoms, etc. David, young as he was, conquered Goliath and in his reign overcame so many neighbouring kingdoms. He was able - enabled - to do these things because he believed, trusted and had immense faith in our Christian race.

However, the big problem does not lie so much in believing things done out of faith, but in having faith itself in different circumstances that confront us on a daily basis. How, then, can we believe?

1. GO TO THE WORD

Romans 10:17
Faith comes from God's word. The more we read and dig into our Bibles, the more we get to believe. Conversely, then, the less we read, the more we lose our faith. The Bible has securely kept a record of great things and an expansive detailing of God's character, his plan for salvation, etc.

Acts 17:10-12
With great eagerness and a keen examination of the Scriptures, we will get the truth and believe, just like the prominent Greek man and women who were known for deep and thorough search for knowledge and truth about man's destiny and fate.

Make a decision to always read and learn from the Bible, then see your faith grow.

2. UNDERSTAND GOD'S FAITHFULNESS

Psalm 57:10
God's faithfulness reaches to the skies. It goes beyond our imagination. God cannot and will never let us down. He can do immeasurably more than we can imagine. Remember the situation when the Israelites were caught between the Red Sea and the pursuing Egyptian chariots. The Israelites lost faith and regretted having left Egypt. But the Lord God Almighty never lost his faithfulness. He had promised Canaan land. He parted the Red Sea and drowned the Egyptians (Exodus 14:10).

In Job 38 God explains his character so that we can believe and trust his able hands.
