COMPLETING THE CONTRIBUTION
Bringing To Completion Our Giving Of Special Contribution

  • Does a football team declare victory after 80 minutes of play and walk off the pitch to celebrate?
  • Does the secondary student declare completion of his studies at the point of clearing Form 3?
  • Does the person traveling home from work feel that he has reached his destination when he is still three stages away from his house?
  • Has a waiter finished his work after taking your order but not yet having brought the food?
All the above scenarios describe a state of incompleteness, at which point one neither claims success nor feels fulfilled. And just as in other areas of life, in our service as Christians, we feel fulfilled, successful and encouraged when we complete that which we set out to do for God.

John 3:29
Jesus not only had joy but at this point his joy is complete.

John 15:11
Jesus does not only want us to have joy but wants that joy to be complete.

John 5:36
God expected Jesus to finish the work that he gave Jesus.

John 4:34
Finishing his God-given work was not just food for Jesus, but just as one is not satisfied with food until full, Jesus would feel satisfied and well fed only in completing the work and not merely in starting it.

John 19:30
Jesus too finished what he started.

Acts 20:24
Paul’s burning desire was to finish the race. It was not enough to have gone a great distance; he was committed to going al the way.

Philippians 1:6
God is in the process of bringing you to completion.

Genesis 1:31-2:2
God finished his work. He did not leave in undone. And only when it was complete did God feel that it was very good.

2 Corinthians 8:4-6
Titus was to help the Thessalonians complete their giving by bringing in their financial collection.

What is your attitude towards completing giving Special contribution?
Are you committed to completing it? Do you have a plan?
Have you sought any input about how to complete your giving for Special Contribution?

Completing that which you start is the heart of God and the character of the man of God. Finishing what you start is not necessarily easy but is definitely godly. Make a decision, make a plan and make every effort to complete your special contribution. And as you seek first God’s kingdom in this way, God will appreciate and reciprocate according to his promises.
