IT'S ALL ABOUT LOVE
By Carol Mukenya
Things that make us cry a lot of the time are our failures and sins. They make us feel guilty and make us doubt God's love.
Zephaniah 3:17
God sings joyful songs for me and rejoices over me in the same way that a mother loves her child.
Zechariah 3:3-5
God strips our dirty garments of sin and dresses us as with rich garments.
Romans 8:1,2
Now there is no condemnation. So, if you are feeling condemnation, why? God does not love you less because you sin.
Exodus 34:5-8
God is compassionate, full of grace, slow to anger and abounding in love.
Numbers 14:18, Nehemiah 9:17, Psalm 86:15, Psalm 103;8, Jonah 4:2, Ephesians 1:7,8, Malachi 3:10, Mathew 7:9-11, Isaiah 62;5, Hebrews 10:17, Hebrews 13:3, 1 John 4:10, Proverbs 3:11-12, Joel 2;13, Isaiah 43:4.
God loves you desperately and believes in you. When you feel weighed down by guilt, know that it is Satan trying to separate you from God. Re-commit yourself to God.
1. OUR PURPOSE ON EARTH
Genesis 1:27, Ephesians 1:4-6
Before creation, God knew each one of us.
Acts 17:24-28
Q.Do you feel privileged to be God's child?
We did not give birth to our children in order for them to become our slaves, but so that they could enjoy being with us. Our purpose on earth is to walk with God.
We need to spend more time enjoying being with God and hanging out with him as a buddy. Obedience to God is easier when we are friends with him. Put more time and effort into your walk with God.
Q. What does your schedule reflect about your relationship with God?
Q.What makes you laugh, cry, smile? Try and connect with God. Feel it!
a. Sin steals our desire to connect with God
Genesis 3:8
We hide by not connecting with God in prayer. We hide by not being open with each other and by showing up for discipling but not seeking help about the issues going on in our lives.
Q. Are you aware right now of what your main struggle is? Has there been pride, deceit, bitterness, anger, disappointment?
b. Confusion over our purpose and our mission
Matthew 28:19,20
Making disciples is our mission. A mission is a special task or duty.
One who understands his purpose has a mission. One who does not understand her mission does not understand her purpose.
1 John 4:20,21
Numeric growth of our ministries cannot be our god. Who we are cannot be determined by numeric growth.
Our purpose is to walk with God and our mission is to make disciples.
Mission: Aim, assignment, business, calling charge, duty, operation, pursuit, quest, trust, undertaking.
Q. Are you serious about setting out to help people?
Q. Do you have and use your diary to organize how you will evangelize?
People are dying and so we must be about our mission.
