HOLD ON TO THE DREAM

1. THERE HAS TO BE A GOOD MOTIVATION

Matthew 13:45

The merchant is never sure when he will get the pearls but his hopes are still high and he keeps on looking. He never gives up. He doesn't need to be pushed or reminded in order to go look for pearls. He knows the value of fine pearls. The kingdom of God is of great value.

Matthew 6:33
Righteousness is of great value too. 1 Timothy 4:7,8
God's kingdom and his righteousness should be great sources of motivation for us. The kingdom is awesome. Heaven will be awesome. Righteousness is of great value. Therefore, recapture the dream of living righteously every day of your life.

2. NEVER GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAMS

2 Corinthians 11:23-28

Daily, Paul faced pressure as he dreamed for the church. He was challenged on all sides and from all angles, both physically and spiritually. He was often exposed to death. But none of this stopped him from pursuing his dream of preaching the gospel to all nations. He was always on the move (v. 26) and never gave up.

The most successful people in the world had/have weaknesses and severe challenges in their lives. Many were tempted to quit but did not, e.g. Thomas Edison failed in 999 experiments to invent the light bulb before he finally succeeded. Mr. Bic failed many times before finally inventing the ball point pen, the greatest selling pen worldwide. If these men had given up, they would never have had the incredible success and impact for which they are renowned today.

Q. Have you given up on your dreams of your family members, fiends, schoolmates and work colleagues becoming disciples?
Q. Have you lost your dream of planting a church in your home town, another town or a foreign country?

No matter how long they take to be fulfilled, never give up on your dreams.

Proverbs 24:16

We are in a spiritual war, and in this war we are going to suffer injuries and persecution. People will disappoint us, oppose us or betray us, even to death. Our patience, faith and love for God will be tested as we continue in this battle.

Q. Have you been tempted to give up on your spiritual dreams?
Q. If so, have you shared this with anyone?
Q. What plans do you have right now for recapturing your spiritual dreams?

Open up and share your feelings and plans with spiritual people around you. Make a list of your dreams and pin it somewhere in your room.

Proverbs 16:3
Pray, and ask others to join you in prayers for them.

It is possible. We can all recapture our dreams.
