FRIENDS FOREVER: LIFE TO THE FULL
Life Filled With Faithful Friendships

John 10:10

God's plan is for each of us to have a full life. A full life is fulfilling and enjoyable. It is spent with friends with whom we share moments and memories. It is spent talking with God and walking with God.

1. TOGETHER AS ONE (MARRIEDS)

Genesis 2:24

Husband and wife are called to be one. This is developed by spending much time together. Enjoy your lives. Keep it fun. Go out together. Don't let duties and responsibilities make you too busy for each other.

1 Corinthians 1:10
The two of you must be one in your thinking. Plan things together, get discipled together as often as possible, share with each other what you are learning from your bible and from teachings in church.

Q. Are you and your spouse one in thought? Do you enjoy being together?
Q. What do you need to change to improve your communication and togetherness?

2. TOGETHER HAVING FUN (SINGLES)

1 Timothy 4:12

We are called to be great examples. Our lives should be a light that attracts people to Jesus and the kingdom. As singles we need to be active in spending time that is purposeful and pure, meaningful and spiritual, fulfilling and fun. Christian dating is not for spouse-hunting. While marriage may eventually result from brothers and sisters appreciating each other, the goal is to encourage each other and have fun.

Speech - be encouraging and supportive, not suggestive or worldly in the things you talk about.
Life - Have a pure and godly fellowship life. Go out regularly on well organized group dates.
Love - love is about being giving. It takes time and effort to be encouraging. Make the effort.
Faith - have faith in God's plan for disciples to marry only disciples, and thus date only disciples.
Purity - seek purity in what you say, how you say it, how you dress, the activities you plan, etc.

David (e.g. when God chose him asking and when he defeated Goliath), Mary (at the time God chose her to bear the baby Jesus), the apostle Paul and Jesus are all people who were excellent examples and were commended by God as singles.

Be a great example at your workplace, in the household where you live, and in church. Be a great example during the holiday period and all the chaos and temptation that come with it.

3. TOGETHER WITH THE SON (EVERYONE)

John 6:66-69

As the disciples followed Jesus, they became great friends with each other and great friends with Christ. They loved to spend time with him, learn from him and walk with him, even when others turned away. We are supposed to close friends of Christ and walk with him as we walk with each other.

Q. Do you enjoy praying and studying your bible? Brothers, how is it going studying Proverbs?
Q. Do you enjoy the opportunity to learn from the biblical preaching you receive at church?
Q. Do you love sharing with others how they may have a relationship with Christ?

John 15:13
Let us live a full life as we lay down our lives for our friends - our spouses, the singles around us, and Jesus, who himself has given for us beyond what we can or ever will deserve.
