FAITH IN PRAYER

1 Timothy 2:8

Our prayers and our faith will be killed if we hold on to anger and disputes.

1. WE MUST BELIEVE WHEN WE PRAY

Matthew 21:21,22

We have preconceived ideas from science, which tells us that mountains cannot move (except maybe, according to geology, gradually over billions of years). Repent of doubting and believe, because of what God says, regardless of what is said by science or by anyone or anything else.

If you ask and believe it will be given to you.

Experience kills faith because we end up focusing and relying on the past and not on God. Focus on God's promise and not on your past. Focus on God's power and not on your prowess.

Matthew 17:14-21
Faith as small as a mustard seed is enough for you to be at peace with God and for you to experience the power of God.

Q. Do you pray powerfully and passionately?
Q. When you pray, do you believe without doubt that God will answer you?

Pray and believe, and you will receive.

2. BE FAITHFUL

Matthew 24:45-51

We must be faithful as servants and not turn on fellow servants.

We are all servants and have been put in charge of strengthening and advancing the kingdom.

Q. Are you focussed on serving or do you spend much time complaining instead?

When we lose our sense of accountability to God and unity with other disciples, we end up going back to our worldly ways of anger and disputes, which was addressed at the beginning of this lesson.

If you have issues to bring up, do so with humility and continue to serve god and be faithful to the charge that you have been given by him.

Matthew 25:14-30
The one-talent man gave up because he could not imagine great results coming from his efforts. He was not faithful.

We all have ability, given to us by God, and so must have faith that we can use that ability to move the kingdom forward and to advance our personal lives. Have a vision for yourself and how you can make God glad, not mad or sad, by being your very best for him and becoming everything that he has dreamed and destined for you to become.

Most often it is fear that stops us from sharing our faith or from stretching ourselves to take on new challenges and responsibilities. Pray for courage and get the input of others. Be faithful.
