God had been so faithful to us and because of his track record of goodness and compassion, we have every reason to trust him. No one else says, "I have plans to prosper you and not to harm you," (Jeremiah 29:11) or "I have come that [you] may have life, and have it to the full," (John 10:10) and has both the will and the power to fulfill that.
