THEME FOR THE MONTH: THE VALUE OF ONE SOUL
SEEK TO SAVE
Luke 15:3-10
The sheep-owner launches a solo search-and-rescue operation due to his love for the one sheep. The woman turns the house inside out in order to find the one coin. Both rejoice when the mission is accomplished. There is clearly a sense of urgency and priority. They value the one sheep/coin.
Q. How urgent are you to help non-disciples to know God and to help disciples to know him better?
Luke 19:10
Jesus came to seek the lost, i.e. to search hard for them. We cannot impact the lost with a merely casual attempt to know them. We must seek them - desire to know them, decide to know them, and devise a plan to meet them and study the bible with them.
Q. Have you been seeking the lost or waiting to meet them by coincidence?
2 Chronicles 16:9
Not all non-Christians want to become disciples, but some do. Imitate God and look for people who are willing to be committed then strengthen them spiritually.
Luke 11:9,10
Seek and you will find. If you value the soul of the lost enough to seek them in order to help them to be saved, you will find open people, willing to repent and become radical disciples.
Q. What will you do differently in the week ahead as far as making disciples is concerned?
If you have been inactive or ineffective in your evangelism, seek input from one who can help you and walk together with someone who has been active and effective. Pray to be effective. Pray to have a heart that values every soul, then go win the world, one soul at a time.
