On 21 March 2008, Edwine Omaya, who leads the Campus Ministry in Nairobi, got a resounding “yes” from his co-leader, Nellie Macharia, when he asked her to be his special friend (girlfriend).

Both Edwine and Nellie became disciples while students at Kenyatta University in Nairobi and both went into the full-time ministry shortly after completing their degree courses.

Edwine led the church planting to the port city of Mombasa in 2006, while Nellie has spent her entire tenure in the ministry on campus.

This year the campus ministry has been regularly fruitful, and in March the brothers held a highly successful Men’s Forum.

The Edwine and Nellie are glowing examples to many and their going steady is certainly an inspiration to the brothers and sisters on campus. We wish well to Edwine and Nellie.
